  • 4 tbsp butter (for mash)
  • ¼ cup milk (for mash)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by dicing the onion and carrots. Boil the potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, then sauté onions and carrots until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ground lamb or beef until browned; season with salt, pepper, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Pour in beef broth and frozen peas; simmer until thickened (10-15 minutes).
  5. Drain the boiled potatoes and mash with butter and milk until creamy; season to taste.
  6. In a baking dish, layer the meat mixture first, then evenly spread the mashed potatoes on top.
  7. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
