  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Blanch asparagus in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and arrange in the baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth. Fold in half the cheddar and mozzarella.
  4. Pour the cheese sauce over the asparagus.
  5. In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs with remaining cheese, then sprinkle over the casserole.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
