- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 orange
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until foamy (about 5 minutes).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center; add melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and the foamy yeast mixture. Stir to combine into a shaggy dough.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area for 1-2 hours until doubled.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into three pieces. Roll each piece into ropes and braid them into the shape of a bunny.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush with egg wash and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
