  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Decorative icing (for decorating)
  • Candy corn or red M&Ms (for noses and antlers)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time and then mix in the vanilla extract until fluffy.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and baking soda. Gradually add this to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool slightly on sheets before transferring to wire racks.
  8. Once cooled, decorate with icing and attach candy corn or M&Ms for noses and antlers.
