Description

Steak with Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce is a show-stopping dish featuring perfectly seared steak topped with a rich, buttery Cajun shrimp sauce—an indulgent delight for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Ribeye or New York strip steak
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Large peeled shrimp
  • Heavy cream
  • Fresh minced garlic
  • Unsalted butter
  • Chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks generously with Cajun seasoning. Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and sear steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  2. Remove the steaks and melt butter in the same skillet. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add shrimp, lightly seasoned with salt, cooking until pink and opaque.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and additional Cajun seasoning, stir, and simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them. Warm through for another minute.
  5. Plate the steak topped with shrimp sauce and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot.
