- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 14.5 oz canned fire-roasted diced tomatoes
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and green bell peppers in olive oil until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Add ground beef or sausage; cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in minced garlic and Cajun seasoning; cook until fragrant.
- Add canned diced tomatoes with juices; let simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixed with herbs, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella on top.
