Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups dried mixed fruit
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (lightly toasted)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden but centers are soft. Let cool on wire racks.
