Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk with granulated sugar and yeast. Let it sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Stir in melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and half the flour. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. For the filling, combine softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and chocolate chips in a bowl.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (¼-inch thick), spread the filling evenly over it, roll it up tightly from one edge.
  7. Slice into equal pieces and arrange in a greased baking dish; let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. For frosting, whisk powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over warm rolls.
