Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until lukewarm (about 110°F). Combine with sugar and sprinkle yeast on top. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk flour and salt together. Once the yeast mixture is frothy, mix in melted butter and beaten eggs.
  3. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough, divide into 12 pieces, shape into balls, and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Brush with melted butter after baking and allow to cool slightly before serving.
