  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 24 chocolate kisses

Instructions

  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add peanut butter and vanilla extract; mix well.
  5. Gradually combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients until just blended.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
  7. Place on ungreased baking sheets about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden at the edges but soft in the center.
  9. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into each cookie after removing from the oven.
