  • 6 large hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 pitted black olives (for spider bodies)
  • 6 pimento-stuffed green olives (for spider legs)

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs in water for 10-12 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath to cool.
  2. Peel the eggs under running water, then slice in half lengthwise.
  3. Scoop out yolks into a bowl; mix with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Spoon or pipe the filling back into egg whites.
  5. Create spiders by halving black olives for bodies and cutting green olives into strips for legs. Place them on top of the deviled eggs.
  6. Serve immediately or chill briefly before serving.
